How to Pay
1. BROKER PARTNERS
Payment of Premiums
Please note that as a Broker Partner you do not have to collect premiums from your client this is our responsibility.
If, however, you do collect premiums from your client, these must be paid to us GROSS (i.e. including your commission and IPT).
Please note that we are unable to accept NET payments from Broker Partners and payments will be returned.
When we have received the Gross premium (either from you or direct from your client), your commission cheque will be sent to you separately, as detailed in our Broker Partner Promise to you.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
2. AGENTS
This is how you can make payment to MOTOR TRADE SOLUTIONS. Payment must be made within 14 days of the cover date.
Direct Debit
We offer the option to pay using our direct debit instalment option. This requires
payment of a 25% security deposit. To read more about how this works, please click
here.
For direct debit cases, we will send your commission to you at the end of the month in which the second payment is taken. Commission is not payable on the security deposit.
THE SECURITY DEPOSIT IS REFUNDABLE UPON CANCELLATION OF THE DIRECT DEBIT ARRANGEMENT, NET OF ANY OUTSTANDING BALANCE.
Cheque
You can pay by company cheque, made payable to MOTOR TRADE SOLUTIONS LTD for the net amount (and this is less your commission).
Credit/Debit Card
We will take a payment from either you or your client on a credit/debit card. You or your client needs to phone us with the appropriate numbers, expiry date, etc. This payment is taken over the telephone.
We very much prefer settlements from agents to be made on a net of commission basis. The net of commission amount due is always identified on our quotations/cover debit notes and it is this amount that we need to receive. Paying us gross merely adds another process. We are sure that you would prefer to retain your commission from the original premium rather than having to wait for us to give it to you. Arrangements with regard to direct debit payments are noted above.
